Jupiter, FL. Feb. 27, 2011. We are pleased to announce that the Second Annual “Southeast Florida Jens & Uwe Kruger’s Banjo and Guitar Workshop” will be held in Lake Worth, Florida on March 26-27, 2011. This weekend workshop will allow banjoists and guitarists an opportunity to receive hands on instruction from two of the finest performers in their field. Many consider Jens Kruger to be one of the top three banjo players in the world today.
Since 1973, Jens & Uwe Kruger have been professionally performing what can be described as American bluegrass music combined with their unique European-styled chamber music. Along with bassist Joel Landsberg, their band, the Kruger Brothers have performed with Doc Watson, Willie Nelson, Bela Fleck, Ricky Skaggs, Bill Monroe, Tony Rice, Vassar Clemens, Nickel Creek, Vince Gill, as well as many others.
This weekend workshop, has been organized and sponsored by David Jakubiak, the founder of www.fretmentor.com, an instructional website for banjo, guitar and mandolin students and players of all levels. In addition to performing and teaching these instruments since 1970, Mr. Jakubiak has written and published various articles for Banjo Newsletter, an internationally distributed monthly publication for banjo students, players and performers.
Do the success of last years event, Jens and Uwe Kruger will make a special trip to South Florida to teach and perform exclusively for attendees of this event.
